  • EOM: End of message

Rather than opening an email, the whole message is included in the subject line. It is perfect for short texts like this:

  • EOD: End of day

Usually refers to how to proceed at the end of the day. In most cases, the EOD becomes the EOM.

  • WFH: Work/ing From Home

It’s our favourite.

 It’s a pleasure to be able to work from home. Your manager will love receiving a short text from WFH.

  • ETA- Estimated Time Of Arrival

Refers to the time it is expected to take to complete a project. It is the ETA meaning in job.

  • PFA- Please Find Attached

Attach files to your email using this option, and don’t forget to attach them! Every time we get an email with a PFA but no attachment.

  • KRA- Key Result Areas

It’s your manager’s favourite word. In essence, KRAs are work-related goals or deliverables.

  • TAT – Turn Around Time

TAT Acronym – As with ETA, TAT refers to the time it takes for something to respond, usually an email or a ticket response.

  • YTD- Year To Date

Most metrics of growth in an annual system are based on a YTD basis.

  • QQ- Quick Question

To ask a simple, straightforward question as an aside to another topic. It wouldn’t be a QQ to ask about your purpose in the organization.

  • ROI- Return on Investment

In an organization, everyone loves this word. An investment’s return can be calculated by profit or other metrics.

  • FYI: For Your Information

When sharing information that may or may not require the receiver to take action.
