The ongoing pandemic made many people stay at home and change their work arrangements. Some are taking advantage of it and use the time they would spend commuting to and from work to make additional income.

If you are unhappy with your current financial situation and would like to improve it or have nothing better to do with those couple of hours of free time, why not have a go at some of the methods to make money online?

Method #1 – Print on Demand Store

Ecommerce ventures require a lot of effort if you want to succeed, but that does not mean you should discard the idea right away. Some may even find this particular method enjoyable, especially when it involves custom merchandise designing and promoting it to people interested in owning such merchandise.

You can come up with interesting designs or hire a freelance designer and work on promoting the store yourself.

Some start with t-shirts and expand the product line later by adding custom mugs, hoodies, phone cases, calendars, or face masks, but you can take a different approach and offer a wide array of products right away.

Method #2 – Customer Support

Working in customer support can be pretty monotonous at times, but if you can make money by responding to simple questions via email or direct messages on a website, it does not sound that bad.

Given how many businesses are operating online at the moment, it is no surprise to see the need for more customer support employees. Look at the job ads and get in touch with potential employers even if you do not have previous customer support experience.

Method #3 – Online Surveys

Online surveys are one of the simplest methods to make money. You need a smartphone or computer and an internet connection.

Surveys differ in length, but you should manage to fill out about five surveys in an hour on average. And even if not all online surveys pay money but offer gift cards or coupons instead, they are still good enough to make your financial situation better.

Method #4 – Social Media Management

Social media marketing is one of the cornerstones for businesses. And then there are influencers who rely entirely on social media platforms to promote their brand and make money.

Social media content requires more work than one might think, but managing profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and any other social media site is not just about creating posts.

To keep the audiences engaged, brands and personalities need to engage by responding to comments. Attracting new followers is also difficult if you avoid ad campaigns and promotional content, such as contests and giveaways.

The work sounds tiring, but someone has to do it. And that someone could be you. Given how popular social media is and that these platforms are likely to stay for a very long time, working on them is an optimal choice. You may even gain enough experience that starting your own channel and profiting is not that far-fetched either.

Method #5 – Online Courses

The demand for online education stems from people who want to improve their current skill set or even start a new career.

Thankfully, platforms like Skillshare and Udemy allow content creators to share courses and even make money from it. You do not have to be an expert in a field to produce a good course. There are more than enough resources to research. Books, online articles, podcasts, documentaries, and TV shows should give you the information you need. The goal is to collect all the details in a single piece that is easy to digest.

Method #6 – Streaming

Try your luck with streaming. The entertainment some people provide on platforms like Twitch TV is second to none, and it is no surprise to see so many people choose streamers instead of regular TV shows.

Streamers make money from sponsorship deals, donations, and subscriptions. It may take a while to build yourself an audience, but the effort will be worth it once you realize how fun it can be to interact with an audience and make money at the same time.

Method #7 – Virtual Assistant

Not every entrepreneur manages to finish their work on time. Thus, looking for an assistant seems like a good option. You can find VA gigs on freelancer sites like Fiverr and UpWork, as well as social media groups or local job ads.

The work itself varies. Usually, you start with simple tasks and slowly move your way up by gaining trust and experience. The pay is also not the best initially, but it is up to you to make an impression on the employer and persuade them to trust you more, ultimately leading to better pay.
