The new AI tools are built to work harder. They bring sharper search, help with writing, and quietly take screenshots in the background. Copilot+ PCs, running on Snapdragon, Intel, and AMD chips, promise more speed, longer battery life, and a smoother hand at work. After long waiting, Microsoft has pushed out its ‘Recall’ feature and a line of AI tools for Copilot+ machines. It is a bold move, a hard step forward for Windows 11.

Fresh AI Enhancements Now Live on Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft has started rolling out its talked-about Recall feature (in preview), together with Click-to-Do and a sharper Windows Search, for a few Copilot+ PCs. These new AI tools are made to push work faster and make Windows 11 better for the people who use it. “Windows has always been the place where computing innovation happens first,” said Navjot Virk, Corporate Vice President of Windows Experiences. He said that with Copilot+ PCs, folks are getting the fastest, smartest, and safest Windows machines ever made.

Cross-Platform Support for Snapdragon, Intel, and AMD Devices

The new features are now live on Copilot+ PCs running Snapdragon, Intel, and AMD chips. Still, some tools, like text actions in Click-to-Do, work only on Snapdragon models for now. Microsoft brought out Copilot+ PCs in May 2024. Since then, they have caught on, making up 15% of all high-end PC sales by January 2025. They first sold for $999. Now you can get one for as little as $599, and more people can afford them.

Major Speed and Battery Life Improvements with Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft says Copilot+ PCs are built for speed. They are 13 percent faster than Apple’s MacBook Air M4. They are up to five times faster than a five-year-old Windows machine. The battery lasts, too—up to 22 hours of video or 15 hours of web browsing. These numbers put Copilot+ PCs in the fight for users who want power and staying strength.

How to Enable Recall and Other New AI Tools

Users of Copilot+ PCs can get the new AI tools by installing the April 2025 Windows non-security preview update. But users in Europe will have to wait a little longer for it to reach them.
Recall is an opt-in feature. It takes screenshots in the background to help people find old tasks and work. Click-to-Do acts like a writing hand, fixing grammar, making summaries, rewriting, and even clearing objects from pictures. The new Windows Search digs deeper now, giving stronger, smarter results based on what you need.

Conclusion

Recall and the other AI improvements that Microsoft has made are a major step forward for Windows and turn the mundane act of computing into something that is practically otherworldly. As more and more users buy Copilot+ PCs, the distinction between human and artificial intelligence becomes less and less clear—your computer will soon be able to tell you about the meeting you forgot. Although, privacy conscious people will frown at the idea of a computer capturing screenshots in the background, the benefits that come with this kind of set up could be enough to make users look the other way.

Indeed, who among us has not dreamed of having a digital memory assistant after closing the perfect webpage that can no longer be found? As these machines become cheaper, Microsoft’s vision of ambient computing is no longer a concept that is seen in tech conferences but a reality. The question that arises is: are we prepared for computers that will have the capability to memorize all our actions?
