Long have music fans argued about whether Apple Music or Spotify is the superior music streaming service and why use Spotify in 2023. Since I’ve been a paying subscriber to Spotify for so long, I have no plans to move to Apple Music. Despite my obvious prejudice, I think Spotify is much superior than Apple Music. Apple Music listeners may sit back and take it easy as I go off the many benefits of switching to Spotify and use Spotify in 2023.

Spotify provides unlimited free music streaming & you need to use Spotify in 2023

Unlike Spotify, Apple Music does not provide a free tier of its streaming service. Spotify’s free tier gives you access to the same catalogue and playlist-making tools as the paid tier, but with ads in between songs. The free edition of Spotify still offers almost all of the features available to the paid version, making it an excellent value. Even if you don’t pay for Spotify’s premium service, you can still listen to a wide variety of podcasts.

In particular, you will love the Discover Weekly and Release Radar functions

The Discover Weekly option compiles a playlist of songs you may like based on your listening habits and other data. Similar to the Daily Mix, it is updated weekly to make finding new music simple. Do you have trouble keeping up with the schedules of your favorite bands and musicians? With Spotify’s Release Radar function you are informed when your favorite artists that you listen to release new music. Each week on Friday, the Release Radar is updated with new music from your favorite artists as well as other recent releases.

Each month and annually, you will get a custom playlist based on your most played songs. By tracking the record of all information and analytics as an artist, you can also get more Spotify streams and can increase monthly listeners on Spotify.

One of the most favorite features of Spotify is the annual year-end playlist it generates depending on your listening habits. It’s amazing to be able to listen to your own soundtrack from childhood through adulthood whenever you want. Spotify will also keep track of your most-listened-to artist of the year, as well as the number of hours you spent listening to music, the top five tracks you listened to most, and other information about your musical habits throughout the year.

The potential for user-to-user cooperation on Spotify has increased fivefold

While playlist creation is an option on both Apple Music and Spotify, only on Spotify can you ask others to contribute to your playlist. The ability to collaborate on playlists with other users makes the service seem more social than Apple Music. Another cool feature of Spotify is the ability to “follow” other users or their playlists to hear what they’re listening to.

Spotify is superior to other music streaming services since it can be used on any device with no hassle.

With no compatibility issues, you may use Spotify on your computer, phone, Apple Car Play, or any other device. Spotify’s UI is consistent across all platforms, making it a breeze to use. Apple Music may be accessed on a wide variety of devices, however on a computer, it must be utilized using iTunes, which is not the most user-friendly music player. Spotify works with a wide variety of devices and platforms, including the Amazon Echo, Sony devices, and more.

The perk of Spotify premium is that it includes free Hulu and Showtime

Both Spotify and Apple Music provide discounts for students, but Spotify premium users also get access to Hulu and Showtime. Considering you receive three services for the price of one, it’s a fairly good offer. When you subscribe to Apple Music, you get just Apple Music, but with Spotify, you get a lot more for your money.

Spotify may no longer have built-in fitness features, but it can still create customised workout playlists for you depending on the apps you use. Spotify has stronger integration with third-party applications, allowing for the delivery of playlists that adjust tempo to fit the user’s gait.

The streaming quality is more consistent with Spotify

Apple Music will always try to stream at the maximum possible quality, however the quality will be decreased when the user is in a location where they only have access to cellular data and not wifi. Depending on the strength of your internet connection, Spotify will stream at a lower or higher quality. If you’re in a spot with spotty mobile coverage, you won’t have to worry about your music cutting in and out as it does on Apple Music since Spotify will let you keep playing uninterrupted.

Spotify’s interface is more intuitive, and it gives you more control over the music you listen to.

Spotify displays all of your regularly-listened-to material and playlists as soon as you launch the app. After browsing your own material, you won’t get recommendations until you select the Discover tab. Apple Music’s numerous extra tabs make it harder to find what you’re looking for. Unlike Apple Music, where you have to go between several tabs to locate what you want, Spotify presents all of its content on a single screen that you can browse through. Spotify also has an EQ setting for audiophiles who want to fine-tune their listening experience. Apple Music’s lack of equalization sliders limits user customization.

While both Spotify and Apple Music provide comparable features, Spotify is the superior alternative since it allows for more group work, music exploration, and cross-device access. Spotify is user-friendly and provides a wealth of opportunities to learn about new music and performers. So it makes sense to use Spotify in 2023.

What streaming music service do you prefer, Apple Music or Spotify? What do you think?
